Venturi Tubes

Venturi tubes can be used on many different process applications and are particularly useful where a low permanent pressure loss is required. This is because the instrument consists in four main sections: an entrance cylinder, a convergent section that convey the fluid at an higher velocity through the throat cylindrical section, and a downstream section. The downstream section of the instrument is has conical diffuser shape which enables an higher pressure recovery, compared to other differential pressure devices.

Venturi Tube design provides some saving beneϐits, as the profile is resistant to wear or erosion, therefore low maintenance and inspection are required.
